USMC AV-8Bs bombed and strafed a 25-truck convoy, causing multiple secondary explosions.

Feb 6th

32 nations have forces in place supporting OPERATION DESERT STORM (Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, China, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kuwait, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Niger, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Spain, Syria, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States). Later this week to be joined by South Korean and Afghan Mujahedeen to make 34 Coalition Partners.

USS Missouri relieved by sister Battleship USS Wisconsin and conducts it's first gunfire mission since the Korean War.


Day 22 - Feb 7th

Convinced the war will be over by summer Pentagon planners abandon plans to rotate troops.


SECDEF Cheney and CJCS Gen Powell visit AOR to meet with troops, planners and Saudi officials.

Day 23 - Feb 8th


Saddam Hussein addresses his nation for first time since air war started pledging victory.
