TO BUILD THE NATIONAL DESERT STORM WAR MEMORIAL

Washington, DC, November 11, 2017 – To celebrate Veterans Day, Hillwood Middle School in Fort Worth, TX, took on National Desert Storm and Desert Shield War Memorial Texas School Challenge! to raise funds to build the National Desert Storm and Desert Shield War Memorial in Washington, DC. On Veterans Day, Eckert and students presented a check for $10,928.55 to Bob Adams, vice president of the NDSWM Board of Directors....

US COMMISSION OF FINE ARTS MEETS ON OCT. 19 TO DETERMINE THE LOCATION OF THE  MEMORIAL IN WASHINGTON, DC

The US Commission of Fine Arts in Washington, DC, will review recommendations presented by the National Park Service and the National Desert Storm War Memorial Association for two potential locations for the new National Desert Storm and Desert Shield War Memorial in Washington, DC.  National Desert Storm War Memorial President Scott Stump is available for interviews prior to and after the meeting.

PILOT FLYING J DONATES $100,000 TO BUILD THE NEW DESERT STORM WAR MEMORIAL IN WASHINGTON, DC

Washington, DC, July 26, 2017 – Pilot Flying J  the largest operator of travel centers in North America, is helping commemorate veterans and loved ones of the Desert Storm War. The National Desert Storm War Memorial Association (NDSWM), will receive $100,000 to help build a new monument on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

The VFW Auxiliary honors the service and sacrifice of America’s Gulf War veterans with largest donation for the National Desert Storm War Memorial to date

Washington, DC, July 26, 2016 –Twenty-five years ago, more than 680,000 service members took part in Operation Desert Storm, at the time the largest deployment of U.S. Armed Forces since Vietnam. To memorialize and honor our nation’s veterans who served during the war, the VFW Auxiliary is making a donation in support of constructing a National Desert Storm and Desert Shield War Memorial in Washington, DC. The donation is the largest financial commitment to the National Desert Storm War Memorial Association to date in the effort to raise an approximate $25 million to build the monument....
